Mental Health Awareness Week

Our Director of Health, Safety and Compliance, Tristram King explains how we support colleagues’ mental health and wellbeing.

Mental Health Awareness Week

We’re very proud to say our business now has the same number of fully trained mental health first aiders as we do physical first aiders. Just as colleagues know who to contact for physical first aid, they also know who to contact for mental health issues. Alongside this we also offer free access to an employee assistance programme.

During the course of this summer we will be rolling out further mental health awareness training – this time for our managers, giving them the skills to better support colleagues who are dealing with mental health issues.

We recognise the importance of a good work/ life balance for better mental health, which is why we offer flexible working and improved family leave policies. We’re proud to say we now have a culture which helps our people be more open about any issues, allowing us to support them.
